The purpose of the TCU Emergency Medical Services Club is to help students obtain their emergency medical technician certification for use in ambulance and emergency room settings in order to serve citizens in the Fort Worth community and beyond. The TCU Emergency Medical Services Club will encourage students to obtain their emergency medical technician certification and work to find opportunities to gain patient care experience that will serve them for their future career in health care. This will include working to gather funds from internal fundraising efforts and potential donation funds/scholarships to help students pay EMT course fees. This organization will also help foster a pre-health community on campus by uniting students based on their passion and interest in emergency medicine. Finally, this organization will work to educate the TCU community through tabling and outreach initiatives on common medical emergencies that they might face. The club will also serve as a foundation to work towards the peripheral goal of establishing an on-campus student-staffed EMS system at TCU.
